Pedaling for the Coffee Route

From the taste for coffee and two wheels, a new trend is born that bets on the bicycle as a new way of life.

We continue pedaling around the city, looking for the best stops to enjoy a rich coffee… This time we toured a part of the center of Santiago, where is located the recent and famous cycle of theaters, which has come to solve the life of thousands of Cyclists that travel through the historic center of the city.

Here are some alternatives for coffee shops in Santiago Centro:

Russian coffee matryoshka, Teatinos 424

We came across one of the first Russian coffee shops in downtown Santiago. Located just steps away from Teatinos, this café with Russian ambiance offers its customers more than 25 different varieties of pancakes, sweet and salty. Among the most requested: Chicken pineapple with white sauce, salmon cheese. And among the sweets: Cinnamon apple and chocolate with pieces of strawberry.

Avvocato café: Calle Huérfanos 1343, Santiago

If you are looking for a cozy place, near the cycle of orphans, Avvocato is a coffee-pasta located in the center of Santiago. A semi formal space, which offers its customers breakfast, lunch, eleven and cafeteria. Their specialty, are the inevitable desserts like the cheesecake or the traditional chocolate brownie.

Green coffee: Miraflores 213

A perfect bet for the natural, this quiet cafe, perfect for a coffee or a snack at lunch, has indoor and outdoor tables in Miraflores street, and its specialty is the expreso accompanied by a rich cornbread cake.

Café Bistro de la Barra: José Miguel de La Barra 455

An ideal place to take a break from pedaling and enjoy a coffee in the entertaining Barrio de Bellas Artes. It is a place searched for by its good coffee, the half moons stuffed with Manjar or nutella, and its excellent location. Its decor is pleasant and classic, while the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
