The Best of Vancouver Fashion Week SS 13

As have it said in previous posts took out one edition of Vancouver Fashion Week for spring/summer and ProyectoModa was media partner of broadcasting, which for us is very important to be able to introduce this important platform for both international and national fashion designers this year RG Sánchez, Daniela Villa and Sofía Palmero put on high the name of our country triumphing in their presentations and demonstrating that in Mexico fashion if it exists, filling color runways and imposing their inspirations in their collections for spring – summer.

As media partner of broadcasting was not enough for us, because it is not the same experience it from afar to be there, this time attended the Blogger girl González VFW of girl on The Moon who was in charge of convey every detail of the catwalks and representing our environment in Vancouver, being in every corner of the event as a backstage cocktails, press conferences and the front raw from the catwalks. In this first note we present their experience in the VFW SS13.

“I had the opportunity to attend several gateways of Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW). The first show I saw was at 7 pm, Papillon brand, which originated in Los Angeles and Vancouver. The collection consists of several parts “flowy” representing something young and fresh. What I most liked about Papillon is that her look is “effortlessly” chic. Also I liked that easily you can convert the casual outfit to something more formal, adding a pair of Nice heels, accessories and a good hairstyle.”

Then the Misty TrunkShow Greer, a local designer who also presented his collection, mixing “Pinup and burlesque”. Unfortunately most of the garments not wore by the way in which clothing was presented by some of the models, since they paraded a rather overreact by removing seriousness to the parade and making it difficult to appreciate the collection according to sizeablehandbags.

The catwalk of Gertz Johan Coetzee (GJC), originally from South Africa, was somewhat modern and electrifying-themed “space.” The phosphorescent green and black were which prevailed on his catwalk. GJC designs were designed to show off the curvy body; the matieral fit the curves of the woman perfectly, until a Kardashian has used one of his designs on the red carpet! The collection of GJC met expectations. Gert Johan is definitely an innovative designer who captured the attention and dazzled fashionistas in VFW.

Our compatriot, RG Sanchez closed the evening of the first day with elegance and quality. Fulfilling your gateway was completely traditional Mexican with a modern twist that captivated the audience with the most high standards of international catwalks. “Mexicanos,” details such as embroidery on tops, wallets, belts and skirts, made the parts highlighted and this is noted in the reaction of the public. To complement the look, the models used braid side and bun.

Day one of Vancouver Fashion Week was a success and set the standards high for the rest of the week!
